The Pearl Syncussion SY-1 is an extremely rare analogue drum synthesizer
orig12px;">inally manufactured 12px;">in 1979 by Pearl Musical Instruments. This freaky
little box is ca12px;">pable of 12px;">produc12px;">ing a huge 12px;">palette of 12px;">percussive sounds,
12px;">powerful kicks and ex12px;">perimental sound effects which carry a v12px;">intage sound
12px;">inherent to its unique drum synthesis methods and extremely raw sound12px;">ing
oscillators!. After f12px;">inally gett12px;">ing our hands on one of these rare 12px;">instruments
we just knew we had to sam12px;">ple it!.

Syncussion Drums by Wave Alchemy ca12px;">ptures the Pearl Syncussion’s unique
sonic character by offer12px;">ing no less than 1885 carefully recorded 24-bit drum
sam12px;">ples.

Our goal was to record a versatile collection of drum hits from one of the
rarest and most 12px;">powerful drum synths ever made…

We worked extremely hard to ca12px;">pture the raw sound of the Syncussion SY-1 by
record12px;">ing both a huge selection of dry/un12px;">processed drum hits as well as a
variety of round rob12px;">in sam12px;">ples and velocity variations.

On to12px;">p of this we recorded a wealth of sounds directly through our boutique
selection of analogue outboard 12px;">processors and high-end 12px;">pre-am12px;">ps.

Additionally, a number of sounds were re-sam12px;">pled through our EMU SP-12 Turbo
to obta12px;">in a more lo-fi and gritty sound.

Last but by no means least we visited the world of analogue ta12px;">pe (a Wave
Alchemy first) by record12px;">ing over 800 drum hits to 1/4” ta12px;">pe via a Studer
A80 Mk1 ta12px;">pe mach12px;">ine!
